Jeffrey Hamelman awarded 2005 Golden Baguette
The Bread Bakers Guild of America is proud to announce Jeffrey Hamelman has been awarded the 2005 Golden Baguette. Jeffrey, currently the Bakery and Education Center Director at the King Arthur Flour Co., is being recognized for his many past and ongoing educational contributions to the artisan baking community and to The Guild.

The French Pastry School Celebrates 10 years of chocolate, passion and the pastry profession
At the event The French Pastry School unveiled the two-story chocolate sculpture created by Chefs Jacquy Pfeiffer, Sebastien Canonne, John Kraus, Laura Ragano and Donald Wressell. New teaching kitchen
With increased demand for the school, we will be opening a new teaching kitchen. Overlooking the Sears Tower, the kitchen will be fully equipped with the best equipment and operational for our new class on January 5, 2005.
In addition, Chef Sebastien Canonne will be teaching full time in Chicago. With this increase in kitchen space and teaching staff, we will now be 48 students in January 2005.
With all of these changes, we continue to remain focused on delivering a very personal, high quality pastry education. Classes are limited to 16 students, and our teachers are all acknowledged as being best in their field.
