Chicago, Illinois (July 23, 2012) — During two days of competition at the World Pastry Team Championships in Las Vegas, the stars aligned for Team USA as they won best dégustation and second place overall in the challenge inspired by astrology and horoscopes.  The All-American team of National Pastry Champions consisted of Team Captain, Chef Donald Wressell, and The French Pastry School of Kennedy-King College at City Colleges of Chicago’s own, Chefs Scott Green, Joshua Johnson and, alternate, Della Gossett.  After two years of preparation, including the qualifying National Pastr

Alumni of The French Pastry School will be participating in Pastry Chicago's Ice Cream Social at Treasure Island Foods (Clybourn) on Friday, July 20th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.  Along with free tastings, guests will enjoy a free demonstration by Chef Della Gossett of The French Pastry School and a chance to meet the California Raisin Mascot.

Chicago, Illinois (July 5, 2012) – When the talent of over five hundred years of cumulative culinary experience assembles in one room at The French Pastry School of Kennedy-King College at City Colleges of Chicago, someone must be in for a treat. When that gathering lasts for two days moving from one Chicago institution to the next, it’s a sign that L’Académie Culinaire de France (The Culinary Academy of France, ACF) and Les Maîtres Cuisiniers de France (The Master Chefs of France, MCF) are in town for the annual conference of their North American Chapters.
