The winter holiday season is the perfect time to bake your favorite recipes, and learn new ones, for gift giving and entertaining. In this new course with Chef Pierre Zimmermann you will create holiday breads, cookies, and cakes sure to impress your friends and family. Learn how to make gingerbread cookies, traditional stollen, hand decorated cookies, holiday jams made with dried fruit. More delicious recipes in this holiday variety include irresistible buche de Noël and homemade chocolate truffles. Happy holidays!

This course is accredited by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) for 15 Continuing Education Hours (CEHs).

Chef Pierre Zimmermann is a Master Baker and Pastry Chef, and an international gold medal winner many times over, including the World Baking Champion title, first in 1996 and again in 2008. In 2004, he was awarded the Bretzel d’Or award for promoting Alsace, France around the world. He exemplifies the philosophy of tradition and creation, succeeding his father and grandfather at “La Boulangerie-Pâtisserie Zimmermann” in Schnersheim, France, where he created numerous lines of product including Uncle Hansi’s Cake, Pictures from Alsace, and the Struwwelpeter. Zimmermann is a member of the Etoiles d’Alsace and shares his passion and expertise teaching internationally. In 2008, Chef Zimmermann coached of the French baking team and won The World Baking Cup for the second time. The French Pastry School welcomed Zimmermann into their full-time faculty in 2010 where he is a Chef Instructor and Dean of Baking.
