Is one day really enough to decipher
The man who is Chef Jacquy Armand Pfeiffer?
On this twentieth September day
We feel that we need to display
A chef is more than just who he makes pie fer.

 

To be a true King of Pastry you must
Possess the skills to bake more than just crust:
The French Pastry School
Made French pastry cool.
Here, we say proudly, “In Butter We Trust.”

His talent is much more than a knack:
He never cuts himself any slack.
He won’t stop to train
Through wind, snow, nor rain
Unless he’s missing his dear “tak-tak.”

 

When at students’ stations he appears,
To stop them from what he overhears
It’s because too much chatter
Will cause sugar to shatter
And in pastry, there’s simply no tears.

 

To have a superb kitchen, you must clean it.
To have knowledge, from masters you must glean it.
Our own Chef Jacquy Pfeiffer
Is a Pastry-For-Lifer
And to be that, you must bake like you mean it.
