YARDLEY >> In honor of October Breast Cancer Awareness month, LeSaint French Chocolate is partnering with Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC), a non-profit committed to connecting women impacted by breast cancer with trusted information and a community of support, by unveiling a handcrafted, hand painted decadent pink chocolate collection created by Bucks County artisan chocolatier Stéphane Lesaint. As part of the October initiative, LeSaint will donate 20 percent of proceeds to the charity.

Lesaint and his wife Barbara were deeply impacted by the loss of a close friend who died from the disease at the age of 44, and the couple wanted to create a work of art, in chocolate, in memory of her.

“There are many breast cancer charities, but we chose LBBC because it is local and it was important for us to partner with an organization whose resources went directly to those who need it most – patients and their families,” said Lesaint.

“We are proud to partner with LeSaint French Chocolate this year. Through their support we will raise awareness of our services while also raising funds that are critical to our work,” said Jean A. Sachs, MSS, MLSP, CEO of LBBC.

Each chocolate is lovingly handmade by Lesaint in his production kitchen in Yardley. It is a process that takes two days to complete – from creating the shell, filling, and hand painting. Lesaint’s chocolates have been described as works of art and “heavenly” on the palate. The Pink Collection, specially crafted by master chocolatier Stéphane Lesaint, includes Rose Gold Coconut Caramel Bonbons and Pink Wash Black Raspberry Ganache Bonbons:

- Rose Gold Coconut Caramel - hand-painted guilded rose gold gourmet dark chocolate jewels filled with organic sweet coconut and a layer of fresh caramel.

- Pink Wash Black Raspberry Ganache – a sublime pairing of tart and dark chocolate! Hand-painted with a pink wash these gourmet dark chocolate bonbons are filled with delicious fresh raspberry dark chocolate ganache.

The limited edition Pink Collection can be ordered online with prices ranging from $25 to $140. It can be found on LBBC’s Shop to Support page https://LBBC.org/shop/LeSaint-Chocolate.

These are not just ordinary chocolates. Stéphane is a Paris couturier turned chocolate artisan and that meticulous attention to detail and taste is reflected in these edible jewels.

“Just as couture dresses are wearable works of art — three-dimensional sculptures — artisan chocolate is edible art, sculpted of the finest ingredients intended to please the palate,” explained Lesaint.” I am humbled by the opportunity to lend a hand in promoting LBBC’s mission of sharing information, resources and strength.”

Lesaint is trained in the art of French pastry and chocolate by MOF’s (Meilleur Ouvrier de France), a title awarded to the best pastry chefs in France.

A graduate of Chicago’s French Pastry School, Lesaint has honed his craft in Paris, Hong Kong, and New York. He specializes in gourmet dark chocolate confections, emphasizing high-quality ingredients, intense flavors, and minimal sugar. Never too sweet, always small-batch, hand-crafted and beautifully packaged they are sent directly to your door with just a mouse-click. Whether it’s an assorted ballotin of perfectly delicious homemade bonbons, truffles or pralines, chocolate lovers can always expect a beautiful box tied with a satin ribbon, carefully lined and filled with exquisite confections.
