Chicago, Illinois (July 7, 2017) This year's summer graduation took place on June 16th and was a highlight as the City Colleges of Chicago Chancellor, Juan Salgado and Celebrity Chef Rick Bayless, were guest speakers that addressed the graduating class of 2017 L'Art de la Pátisserie.

Chancellor Salgado complimented The French Pastry School of Kennedy-King College at City Colleges of Chicago programs and the students within, acknowledging the superb instruction they received and the benefits thereof. He went on to encourage the graduates to pay it forward throughout their careers and to continue to learn and grow in their craft, ultimately coming back to The French Pastry School and City of Colleges of Chicago to mentor other young aspiring entrepreneurs.

Everyone's favorite restaurateur and Chicagoan, Chef Rick Bayless inspired the graduates to take hold of the supreme education they received at The French Pastry School and apply themselves to the fullest throughout as they embark on their careers. Rick gave them guidance and wisdom that should help them pursue their quest in being a unique force in this wonderfully growing industry.

Graduation was followed by a beautiful buffet of desserts provided by the chefs and interns at The French Pastry School. It was a grand feast and a testimony to the level of expertise taught and learned in our programs.
