Dave Schneider joined The French Pastry School in January, 2010 as a member of the marketing team and serves as the graphic designer. With more than ten years of experience in graphic design, Dave represents the school’s goal of creating excellent, innovative work through his creative contributions in designing all of the printed materials and the website.
Prior to joining the marketing team, Dave owned his own business, Schneider Design, where he dealt with assorted projects in all stages of development for multiple clients, creating advertisements, brochures, trade show graphics, logos, videos, and web sites. He collaborated with manufacturing and industrial corporations, electronics and technology companies, law firms, the health care industry, restaurants, as well as entertainment venues.
Dave also worked for Lyndex Corporation, an industrial manufacturing company specializing in machine tooling located outside of Chicago, for many years directing the creative and marketing elements. With Lyndex, he worked with the sales department and upper management to design and develop all aspects of their marketing materials. He also coordinated efforts with outside vendors including advertising agencies and an aerospace company.
Dave attended the University of Wisconsin where he studied art, music and history. Additionally, he independently pursued studies in graphic design, web design, photography, and video. Dave also volunteers in assisting with coordinating events through Pastry Chicago and For the Love of Chocolate Foundation.
