Maggie Fahey

Maggie Fahey joined The French Pastry School as the Admissions and Continuing Education Advisor in January, 2010 after completing L’Art de la Pâtisserie, The Professional Pastry & Baking Program and graduating with honors.  Maggie joined the Marketing Team in September 2011, where she works with the Marketing Director and Graphic Designer to create engaging content for The French Pastry School’s website and social networking media.  While a student in the full-time L’Art de la Pâtisserie program, Maggie volunteered as an assistant in the school’s Marketing Department, during which time she also contributed articles to the website’s L’Art du Blog.

Prior to enrolling in L’Art de la Pâtisserie in July of 2009, Maggie completed undergraduate studies at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts where she majored in English and Spanish.  She received The Jacqueline Award in English Composition in June, 2009 and The Gabriela Mistral Prize in Spanish the same month. Maggie first learned Spanish in high school while working as a pastry cook in restaurants in the Chicago suburbs and was able to refine it further during her study abroad experience in Córdoba, Spain where she combined her interests in language, literature, and all things culinary.

Maggie also assists in coordinating events for Pastry Chicago and For the Love of Chocolate Foundation.
